Here I am. If you're wondering about the nickname, it's a sort of homage to Dustin Holffman's character Little Big Man.  I can relate so much to that poor little guy in the movie!

Anyway, my husband and I are working on starting our own business sometime in the future. Right now funds are pretty low, but we're doing what we can. Part of our hopes and plans for the new business is that we want to give something back to the world. Environmentally friendly and all that. We also want to be involved in public service as well. My motto is: Love people, not things.

Right now, however, we are strapped for cash. The only thing I can offer right now is time, effort, research, and friend support.

I am interested in aidpage because it looks more like a group of pals giving each other advice and such and I hope to become a part of that.

Here are some helpful links:

Okay, so I'm new the the Aidpages community and I'm curious about something. Some of you are regular posters and keep a running blog offering advice and links to helpful sites. Being a member of a couple sites myself, I've developed quite a bond with my online friends. How many of you come here to see how other Aidmates are doing? Do you only come to post in your blog? In short, How involved in this community are you? I'm only asking because I have a tendency to become attached to people and I wonder how many others are the same way. Whenever I would make friends as a child, I would always go out of my way to help them, because I thought that what friends should do. My mother always referred to it as "picking up strays". I guess she figured I only made friends with needy people. In a way, I did, because everyone has needs, whether it's physical or emotional. So many people don't like to ask for help, but there's no shame in it. I guess that why some people have difficulty making or keeping friends; because they don't like to acknowledge another persons needs.
